Kid Scoop, created by Vicki Whiting, has created a page for kids dedicated to explaining what is going on Haiti and how they can help. It contains earthquake news, how kids can help, what makes an earthquake, and where is Haiti? Click here to download this page.

In addition Vicki also has produced a series of worksheets that teachers can use in their classrooms or parents can use in the home.

Hot Topics Hot Serials Hot Apple PIE offers weekly, interactive NIE lesson plans. The site is private, requiring username and password. From January 18 through 22, they are offering free access to their materials, much of which will be focused on Haiti -- from the science of earthquakes to the relief efforts.
