July 18, 2012: Make a Scrapbook
The Mini Page is a syndicated, four-page tabloid written for young children found each Wednesday in The Denver Post. Activities:
1.Design a cover for your own scrapbook. Make a list of what you would keep in your scrapbook.
2. Ask family members and friends to tell you about the oldest, newest and favorite items they have in their scrapbooks or collections.
3. Choose one newspaper section for a scrapbook. Collect items from that section for your scrapbook.
4. Paste five comic strip characters on a piece of paper. Next to each character, describe the type of scrapbook he/she would keep.
5. Choose your favorite historical character. Put newspaper stories and pictures that character would like in a scrapbook. Explain your choices.
