Teddy Roosevelt - The Conservation President, a 14-chapter serial story, will run every Thursday in The Denver Post.
Teddy Roosevelt has been referred to several times during this presidential election season. But who was he -- not just as a president, but as a man? This original serial story, written by Colorado Kids Editor Mike Peterson, will offer stories of Roosevelt’s life, with historical photos and maps, geared for 4th through 8th grade.
It will include an overview of who Teddy Roosevelt was, his childhood, and his first trips out west. There will be several chapters about his efforts in conservation of natural resources, both land and water, plus interesting stories about his friends and his visits to Colorado.
