Dana joined The Denver Post as NIE Manager in June of 1999 and now manages the Denver Post Educational Services Department. She founded the Newspaper In Education program at The Fresno (CA) Bee in 1984 and served as the Educational Services Coordinator until her move to Denver. Plewka has helped start up new NIE programs in California, Colorado, South Caroline and Wyoming. She has presented NIE and educational workshops in more than 15 states and in Canada and Bogotá, Columbia. She is on a national taskforce for using the electronic editions of newspapers and has done national workshops on that topic. |

Jill Armstrong has worked in Newspaper in Education for almost 40 years. She designs and maintains the award-winning DenverPostEducation.com website and helps to provide online curriculum for teachers. In addition, she handles youth content for The Denver Post, including Colorado Kids, The Mini Page, and serialized stories. She also oversees YourHub.com/NextGen where 4th through 8th grade students can post writing, photos, reviews and calendar events. She started the Colorado Stock Market Game and served as SMG Coordinator for 16 years. |
